This programme, which incorporates principles and practical skills drawn from existential analysis, became the first psychotherapeutically-influenced Mediation programme to be recognised and approved by the British Law Society.

In 2002, Ernesto initiated a series of meeting with like-minded colleagues in order to explore and develop an existentially-focused approach to coaching, and in particular to performance and executive coaching. In 2003, he was invited to join the visiting faculty of the I-coach Academy where he continues to offer lectures, applied training and coaching supervision to Diploma and Master's degree trainees both in the UK and South Africa. In 2004, Ernesto and his colleagues founded Ernesto Spinelli Associates, an organisation dedicated to the advancement of coaching, facilitation and psychotherapy through specialist seminars and training programmes. In 2005, he was elected a Founding Accredited Executive Coach and Founding Accredited Supervisor of Executive Coaches by the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS).

Ernesto's many publications and textbooks appear on the reading lists of numerous training programmes in the UK, North America, Australia and Continental Europe. In particular, his text The Interpreted World (of which a new edition was published in February, 2005) is required reading on various executive coaching and facilitation programmes both in the UK and internationally.
